Important Things to Know!
Requirements to Create Twilio Zaps (SMS/ Call Automation):
Twilio Account (with at least one phone number)
Zapier Account (Free or the paid version)
ScoreCEO Paid Account with Active Biling (If the billing is not active, the portal will not be connected to Zapier)
How to Get the Zapier API Key from the ScoreCEO portal?
To get the Zapier API key follow the following steps:
Login to your ScoreCEO portal
Click on the bubble on the right corner
Go to the Configurations
Then to the Company Portal Profile
Scroll down to the down bottom, and you will find your Zapier API key (Note: make sure you have Zapier enabled in the portal below the API key to create zaps)
How to Buy the Number from Twilio?
To buy the Twilio number consider the following steps:
Go to your homepage
Click on Phone Numbers
Click on buy a number
Enter the country, choose the number and proceed to pay
Where to Get the Auth Token and Account SID in Twilio?
You can get the Auth Token and Account SID on the homepage of your account.
Why Should I add the consumers as “Verified Id” in Twilio? / Why Can’t I send the SMS to the consumer from my Free Twilio?
If you are using the free Twilio account, then you have to make sure that you have added the consumer number in the verified id in your account for the Zap to work smoothly otherwise it will give an error and the SMS will not be delivered!
Possible cases: (The cases when a SMS or call is triggered in Twilio due to the changes made in the CRO’s ScoreCEO portal)

Process To Create a Zap (ScoreCEO integration with Twilio)
To create the Zap, login to your Zapier, and Twilio account you created with any email you want to use, doesn’t have to be the one used in the ScoreCEO portal
Click on the left bar, and click on Zaps
Next, click on “Create Zaps”
To create the Zap search for the ScoreCEO in the trigger section
Select the event you want to be the trigger for Twilio to take action e.g here we are selecting the “Added Consumer”. And click on continue.
Next, we have to connect our ScoreCEO portal with Zapier, to do so click on “Sign In”
After clicking a pop up will appear where we will enter the Zapier API key and the email used in the ScoreCEO portal. To get the Zapier API key follow the following steps:
Login to your ScoreCEO portal
Click on the bubble on the right corner
GO to the Configurations
Then to the Company Portal Profile
Scroll down to the down bottom, and you will find your Zapier API key
Once you have your information, enter it and click on “Yes, continue”
Once done, your ScoreCEO portal is connected to Zapier
Click on continue, and the next step will be to test the trigger. Click on “Test trigger”
Once done, it will show you that there is no added consumer for now, and to make sure that the Zap will work we will have to add an “Existing Consumer” in our ScoreCEO portal.
Once added, click on “Test Trigger” again
And it will show you the information of new consumer you added in the portal, that means that the portal is connected to Zapier and now it can pull its data to trigger any selected action.
To set up the Action, search for Twilio in the Action bar and select it
Next choose the event you want like SMS or a phone call, here we will be using the SMS
Next, click in Sign in to connect your Twilio account with Zapier
To connect the Twilio account enter the Auth Token and Account SID, which you can find in your Twilio account dashboard.
After entering it click on continue
Select the number you want to use from your Twilio account to send the message.
You can leave Alphanumeric Sender ID if you have a free account on Twilio but if you have the paid version only then you can add in your company name or whatever you want to add. (FYI: An Alphanumeric Sender ID is your company name or brand used as the Sender ID in one-way SMS messages sent to supported countries.)
Next select the number which should receive the SMS e.g Cell Phone
Next, compose the text you want to send to all the added consumers in the ScoreCEO portal once the Zap is activated.
After selecting the needed field, click on continue
And click on test action
Once tested and you receive the text on the phone number added, click on Publish Zap and you are good to go!
