Thank you for choosing Credit Repair Business Websites as your website creator! When launching your new website, one of the most important steps is connecting it to your domain (the web address people will use to visit your site, like www.yourbusiness.com). To do this, our website designers and developers need access to your domain settings. But if you're not comfortable sharing your login credentials, there's a better option: delegating access.

Why Is Domain Access Needed?

To make your website live, we need access to your domain so we can:

  • Point your domain to the website host by updating DNS settings (A Record, CNAME, etc.)

  • Install SSL certificates to ensure your site is secure (HTTPS)

  • Manage email records (MX records) if you're using a professional email address

  • Verify ownership when setting up marketing tools or integrations (like Google or Facebook)

What Is Delegated Access?

Delegated access allows you to grant limited, secure access to your domain without giving away your personal login. This means we can do what we need (like update DNS records), and you maintain full control of your account.

How to Delegate Access (by Domain Provider)

GoDaddy – Easiest Option

  • Log into GoDaddy

  • Go to Account Settings > Delegate Access

  • Under "People who can access my account," click Invite to Access

  • Enter our name and email, and select "Products & Domains"

  • We’ll receive an email and get access without needing your password

Google Domains

  • Limited direct delegate options

  • You can share access by adding a user via Google Workspace or Cloud Identity (for technical users)

  • Or share DNS screenshots and we’ll guide you step-by-step

Namecheap

  • Currently does not support true delegate access

  • Best approach: share DNS access temporarily or request support assistance

  • Alternatively, let us guide you through the changes via a screen share or email

Other Providers (Bluehost, HostGator, etc.)

  • Check if your registrar allows sub-user access or temporary password creation

  • If not, we’ll provide exact records to enter and guide you step-by-step

Not Sure Who Your Domain Provider Is?

You can look it up using a WHOIS Lookup Tool — just enter your domain name to see who hosts your domain.

Final Tip
