With the release of our latest feature update, ScoreCEO now automatically assigns dispute reasons the first time you import a supported credit report. This automation saves time and gives you a great starting point—but what if you want to update or customize those instructions?
Whether you're handling a new round of disputes or simply prefer to use a different dispute strategy, this guide will show you exactly how to add or replace dispute instructions for each account using ScoreCEO’s Fast Edit screen.

Step-by-Step: How to Add or Replace Dispute Instructions
✅ Step 1: Go to the Fast Edit Screen
From the Customer Profile you're working on, navigate to the Fast Edit screen. This is where you'll find all the imported account data.
✅ Step 2: Select the Account You Want to Work On
Locate the specific account you want to edit or update dispute instructions for.
? To Add a New Dispute Instruction:
Right-click on the account.
A menu will appear with a list from the Dispute Instruction Repository.
Based on the dispute criteria (account type, issue type, etc.), you’ll see a curated list of suggested dispute reasons.
Choose the most appropriate instruction for the situation.
Click Save.
✏️ To Replace an Existing Dispute Instruction:
Highlight and delete the current dispute instruction.
Then, right-click the account to access the repository.
Select a new dispute reason from the options provided.
Click Save.

You can do this for each individual account on the customer file, giving you complete flexibility to handle initial disputes, follow-ups, and escalated rounds with ease.
